I am so delighted that my books are now available for sale in the beautiful Made by Kent shop, in Staplehurst, Kent. This feels a watershed moment for me as I have worked so hard on my product design over recent years and yet have struggled in the getting my books to market part. This year I have made a conscious effort to get out and network more. Getting my books into a shop like this feels such an important validation for all the hard work leading up to this point.
I also hope it will become a focal point for reaching out to the local community with author talks, school visits and work with local playgroups and nurseries.
Made by Kent is based in Staplehurst, in the heart of the Weald of Kent. It is run by Katie Higgins who has a real passion for supporting local creatives. The shop is a delightful mix of creative work from an incredibly talented group of people. Katie has been a wonderful encouragement to me and has been incredibly enthusiastic about my books appearing in her shop. Some of the images below give a flavour of the beautiful things on offer at the shop.
So if you are driving through the beautiful Weald of Kent why not pop into the Made by Kent shop and support local creatives, buy an ice cream, enjoy a take-away coffee or even buy a Rhymers book!
