Creatives from around the Canterbury area first met at the charming Route 23 Coffee Shop on the 23rd January 2018 to network and support one another in their creative journeys. It was wonderful to gather together with such differing skills and interests and yet have much in common. Discussions were, and have continued to be, incredibly helpful and insightful.
The establishment of this creative network has been the brainchild of Elsa Lewis, Director of Lioness Writing Limited. I have been delighted to join with her as co-founder, sharing in her vision of seeing us connect with and support other creatives to grow and flourish.
Creating, in whatever field, can be a lonely and isolating occupation, so offering a consistent time when we can meet each week has become a lifeline. Bouncing ideas around and sharing skills can cut through so many of the challenges and procrastination. Investing in this time has definitely become a time saver.
