Creatives Spotlight:

Anne Newman

Anne was born in the county of Kent in England in 1946. She grew up in an age of ‘make do and mend’ after the war and was influenced in handwriting by her grandmother and always loved putting ‘words’ together.

She has always possessed a mischievous streak which comes across in some of her work, but she also has a more serious, deep side when she writes about the past, present and her own experiences in life.

She is passionate about the environment and conservation. She still lives in Kent with her husband and has a son, daughter and three grown up grandchildren.

I am so very pleased with the book and I am so grateful to you [Andrew] for all your hard work. The poems are laid out clearly and the cover design is beautiful. This has made my day and I had some happy tears!
