It has been my pleasure to work with Patricia M Brookhouse over the last number of months to turn her manuscript into her first published book.
This charming tale explores God in creation and God in the ordinary. It is a wonderful conversation starter between child and adult about the mysteries of our Creator.
Maddy is such an inquisitive child who has so many questions for her Nana. There is always another “But Nana…” question just around the corner. We learn so much about God through their gentle conversations.
Below is an extract from the beginning of Patricia’s book…
Thoughts from the author
When I first thought about writing ”But Nana” it was because I wanted to share something of the God I had come to experience in my life. I began to think of all the grandparents who had watched their children turn their back on the church and consequently their grandchildren missing out on a part of life that for them had been so important.
To those grandparents I would like to say, “Don’t forget God only has children… no grandchildren and certainly no great grandchildren!”
Delightful Illustrations
There are delightful illustrations across every double page of “But Nana”, as Nana and her grandaughter explore the beauty of God’s creation.
Nana and Maddy enjoy a beautiful starry night together, cuddled up under a blanket…
No summer holiday is complete without a day out at the beach together…
Patricia M Brookhouse’s “But Nana” is now available for purchase from Amazon.
All of the proceeds of this book will be donated to Mary’s Meals who’s global vision is that every child deserves an education and enough to eat.
